Affiliate Disclosure

USA Finance Lab is a reader-supported financial research and comparison platform. We generate revenue through affiliate partnerships with financial institutions and product providers. This disclosure explains how those relationships work and how we protect editorial integrity.

How Affiliate Compensation Works

When you click a link on our Site to a third-party financial product — such as a credit card, personal loan, or financial tool — and you apply for or purchase that product, we may receive a referral fee or commission from the provider.

These fees are paid by the financial institution, not by you. Your application terms, interest rates, and product features are not affected by whether you arrived through our affiliate link.

What We Are Compensated For

  • Completed credit card applications submitted through our referral links
  • Completed loan applications submitted through our referral links
  • Sign-ups for financial tools, platforms, or services we review and recommend
  • Clicks on certain sponsored placements, which are clearly labeled

What We Are NOT Compensated For

  • Publishing positive reviews of a partner’s product
  • Suppressing critical information about a partner’s product
  • Excluding non-partner products from our comparison tools or rankings
  • Changing our editorial ratings based on commercial relationships

How Compensation Does Not Affect Our Editorial Standards

Our editorial team and commercial operations are structurally separated. Writers and analysts are not informed of specific affiliate fee arrangements when researching or writing product reviews.

Products are evaluated using a consistent analytical framework. A partner product that underperforms will receive a lower rating. A non-partner product that delivers genuine value will be featured, recommended, and compared favorably — regardless of whether we earn anything from the click.

We believe the only sustainable model for a financial media company is one where readers trust the analysis. Compromising editorial integrity for short-term affiliate revenue is not a trade we are willing to make.

FTC Compliance

This disclosure is made in compliance with the Federal Trade Commission’s guidelines concerning the use of endorsements and testimonials in advertising (16 CFR Part 255). We are required to disclose material connections to the products and companies we mention. This page, along with in-content disclosures on relevant articles and comparison pages, fulfills that requirement.

Sponsored Content

Occasionally, USA Finance Lab publishes sponsored content in partnership with financial institutions. Sponsored content is clearly labeled with a ‘Sponsored’ or ‘Paid Partnership’ tag at the top of the page. Sponsored content does not receive editorial review and should be understood as advertising, not independent analysis.
